Can we keep using Tally alongside Vishwodyog?
Yes. Vishwodyog exports your sales, purchase and credit-note vouchers and party ledgers as Tally Prime XML, so your accountant can keep working in Tally. To move over, upload a Tally XML export: ledgers and stock items become customers, vendors and products, sales, purchase, receipt, payment, credit-note, debit-note, journal and contra vouchers come in, and so do the open bills of customers and vendors. You review a preview with any problem rows first, and an import can be undone until its documents are used. Start with a short date range.
Does the system generate GST Rule 55 delivery challans?
Yes. Inter-godown transfers and job-work dispatches generate Rule 55 challans carrying the transporter vehicle number, per-line HSN and the e-way bill number you enter.
Are there native desktop POS and mobile attendance apps?
Yes. Vishwodyog provides a Windows desktop client for offline-first retail POS with 58/80 mm thermal receipts and a dynamic UPI QR, plus an Android app with GPS geofencing (50 m by default) and rotating QR codes for workforce attendance.
Does Vishwodyog support cost centers for projects and departments?
Yes. Create cost centers for projects, departments, salespersons and campaigns and tag expenses to them. Tagging revenue and per-cost-center profitability are on the roadmap.
How does maker-checker approval prevent unauthorised spending?
Define a spending threshold, for example purchase orders above ₹1,00,000. Vouchers stay in a non-posting locked state until a designated checker approves them, and a checker cannot approve their own entries. Admins act as checkers.
Is Section 32 WDV depreciation automated for tax audits?
Yes. Assets put to use for fewer than 180 days in the financial year automatically take the 50% rate cut under Section 32, generating an audit-ready schedule for your CA.
Does Vishwodyog file GST returns or generate e-invoices?
Not directly. It produces GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B JSON and e-way bill JSON in the formats the government offline tools accept, for you or your CA to review and file. For e-invoicing it builds and checks the e-invoice JSON for B2B invoices; getting the IRN and signed QR from the government portal is on the roadmap.
Can we cancel or correct an invoice after issuing it?
Yes. An admin can cancel an invoice that has no payment or credit note: the stock goes back, the ledger entry is reversed on the invoice's own date and the number is not reused. Revise cancels and re-issues it with the corrections in one step. A counter bill from today can be voided while its shift is open. Anything else is corrected with a credit note, which is also the right route when the invoice belongs to an earlier month whose GSTR-1 may already be filed.
Does it handle TDS?
Yes. TDS is worked out on vendor bills and expenses under sections 194C, 194J, 194I and 194Q, with single and yearly limits and a higher rate when there is no PAN. Tax your customers deduct from you is held as TDS receivable, and salary TDS under section 192 is suggested each month. The TDS register tracks challans by quarter and exports CSV, and you can match your customers' deductions to Form 26AS. Vishwodyog does not file TDS returns: your CA prepares those from the register. Rates and thresholds are editable; have your CA confirm them for the year.
Can we run service contracts and AMC through it?
Yes, with the AMC add-on: contracts with billing schedules and renewals, service tickets with response deadlines, visit reports signed on a phone, QR stickers for fault reports and a portal for your customer. It suits firms that add an AMC to a sale as well as firms that only sell service contracts.
Can we use more than one GSTIN?
Yes. Attach extra GST registrations to branches. A document raised from a branch is taxed from that registration's state, numbered in its series and carries its GSTIN, and GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and the HSN summary can be run for one GSTIN at a time.
